The kind of personal anxiety I got when I chose to support Manchester United as a 7 year old boy, I’m 26 years old now but there’s still some reminisce. A certain feeling of “you only support them because they’re winning” but honest to heavens that was never the case, it was a case Hansen saying on MOTD that they couldn’t win anything with kids but they did and that sealed my respect. The NFL is no better example of it not really mattering what team a person chooses to follow as that team are not top for long as the parity era has seen to that so every doubter can be quiet for a post. I say personal anxiety as I’m sure none else ever-Ever-EVER is judging me as some glory-hunter or even even if they are its in a less than serious manner as a “joke” is a “joke”, not to be taken seriously. I suppose its why I warmed up to the NFL as easily as I did for with parity comes a truthful appreciation for high-level performance, appreciating the franchises front office, the recent history of back-to-back top end QB’s, and a constant battle for playoff success. But this list of must-haves for success sounds awfully familiar.

The term dynasty comes to mind when discussing a dominant NFL team, but when I say dominant I mean a golden era of Superbowl Trophies like the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots have enjoyed. The kind of teams that could easily attract a “bandwagon” but with the NFL comes a real case of “sunrise-sunset” as those teams with ups & downs battle anything the Premier League churns out with a constant Manchester United’esque winning. The past two weeks have been amazing for any Packer Backer, as on 9th December the Packers climbing up to 1st in the NFC North for the first time this season with a win against the divisional rival Detroit Lions. Fast-forward 7 days and the 16th December produced a win against another divisional rival, this time the Chicago Bears and with it came the 2012 NFC North title. Great timing as next are the Tennessee Titans, yes Chris “CJ2K” Johnson isn’t the back he was “back in the day”, he only proved on MNF against the New York Jets why this paragraph demanded a rewrite. After that comes the WK16 game against the divisional rival Minnesota Vikings for a 2nd time this season, but this time its in Minneapolis so with an stoppable Adrian All Day, A.P., Seriously, stop now, it’d be a mancrush if you played in anyother division Peterson. An Adrian Peterson that is in the conversation for 2012 MVP. Peterson ran for 210 yards at Lambeau Field the week before that Lions game, I have no idea what he will do at “The Metrodome” as though the Packers defense are better than average (#9 total), who knows with a 14th ranked run stop and a 16th ranked pass rush.

NFL Network's Steve Mariucci calls Clay Matthews III "Bloodline"... HELL TO THE YES!

Adrian Peterson chasing former LA Rams (now St. Louis Rams) RB Eric Dickerson’s single season total rushing yards stat, who knows if “man crush” if he played in any other NFL division will do on 30th December. As easy as it is to be a Packers supporter right now, good times simply don’t last forever as though the New England Patriots claiming their 10th AFC East title under Bill Belichick who knows as their last Superbowl win was in 2005. Either way I’m enjoying this current wave the Packers are riding though I don’t know how long it’ll last with this latest 2012 NFC North crown, what I do know is that the Packers 6 NFC North division crowns beat the 5 won by the rest of the division (Bears, Vikings, Lions) combined.

I’m not one to gloat though I’am a realist, so I’m merely pointing out a fact, a sweet, sweet, sweet fact.
